Aliya Mustafina at the 2013 European Championships
Not surprising to many, Aliya Mustafina won the women’s All Around title at the European Gymnastics Championships. She has been training hard and blossoming in her skills since the Olympics and is showing much potential. Here is her performance on the uneven bars at the competition.
It was not an easy win though. She was running head to head against Larisa Iordache, a Romanian star. Larisa started the competition ahead of Aliya, but a higher score on the bars pushed Aliya ahead.
But here’s my question,
Why were we not able to watch the European Championships and the NCAA women’s championships on TV? So many other sports are shown all the time, even when they are not championships. But gymnastics fans don’t get to enjoy these competitions as they happen. Doesn’t seem fair! What do you think?
