At South Coast Gymnastics Center in California, the East meets the West to produce gymnasts who excel.  Former Chinese gymnast stars have come to America to mentor, teach, and train American youth who want to develop as gymnasts.  The students learn many life lessons in the process.  Many of them go on to achieve college scholarships based on their gymnastics abilities, honed through training at South Coast.

 

 

It’s interesting to see the contrast between how the Chinese pick and train their gymnasts and the the American system of families choosing to put their children in gymnastics training.  From the video, it’s easy to see how some of the training secrets of the Chinese have been implemented at South Coast, resulting in success in many areas of life for the students.
