This is a great video for the aspiring gymnast.  The gymnastics instructor breaks down dive roll drills into doable steps for the gymnastics student to work on.  Positioning and control are crucial in this step by step approach.  The exercises which train the hamstrings to do the right thing are crucial to success as well.

Learning to do dive rolls correctly and to condition the body for them is important so that injuries can be avoided.
