Everyone who watches gymnasts the U.S. knows what a great vaulter McKayla Maroney is. She is expected to win a medal at the World Gymnastics Championships.
But the gymnast who could beat her on vault is the European gold medalist in the event, Giulia Steingruber. She was the only gymnast at the Olympics from Switzerland. Most Americans are not aware of her talent. She’s been doing very well on vault in the competitions this year.
There are some other competitors on vault who could shine also. It remains to be seen whether any of them can push ahead of McKayla or Giulia.
