The Pan American Gymnastics Championships include various types of gymnastics competitions, including rhythmic gymnastics. Jazzy (Jasmine) Kerber from the USA won two gold medals for individual performances – one for her clubs routine and one for her ribbon routine. As you can see in this video of her performing with clubs, she has a beautiful style, amazing flexibility, and didn’t lose a club during her routine.
Jazzy also won the individual all around championship! Also she won a silver medal in the ball performance and a bronze in hoop. If Jazzy does well in the ongoing international competitions, we may see her at the 2016 Olympics!
These competitions set the stage for the 2015 Pan American Games in that these are qualifiers for the competitions that each country can enter next year. So far the U.S. is doing well and should be a part of the entire competition. This championship, as well as the games next year, is being held in Toronto.
