Kerri had to score big on the vault in order for the Magnificent Seven to win the team gold at the Atlanta Olympics. She fell on the first vault and injured herself. She followed that up with an amazing second vault, lifting up the injured leg as soon as she landed. She did it!
What courage it took for her to work through the pain to do that second vault! If she had not, the seven women on the 1996 USA gymnastics team would not have earned the title of “Magnificent.”
