The First to Score A Perfect 10
If you are old enough to have watched the Olympics in 1976, you’ll remember petite Nadia Comăneci, who scored the world’s first perfect score in gymnastics. Here’s a video of her “Perfect 10” on the uneven bars.
What a great Olympic moment!
This young woman from Romania won three gold medals at the 1976 Olympics and two at the 1980 Olympics.
Of course scoring in gymnastics has drastically changed since those days. Today there are no more perfect scores, for scores range higher due to technical difficulty as well a performance.
