It’s not often that we see gymnasts from Africa in high level competitions. Grace Legote from the Republic of South Africa performed beautifully with the ribbon in a rhythmic gymnastics competition in 2011. She was one of three gymnasts from South Africa.
This took place at the World Championship in Montpellier, France. Grace did not place in the competition, but it is encouraging to see gymnasts from African countries compete.
