Some people claim that Russian gymnast Yelena (also called Elena) Produnova’s vault at the 1999 University Games was the greatest women’s vault ever performed. Here is a video of the vault.
Yelena is the only woman who has ever mastered this handspring double front vault in competitions. And it was off a horse! Just think how she would do if she had had the springy vaulting tables that we have today!
