Pommel Horse Hero – Alex Naddour
The USA men’s gymnastics team has a big weakness that has reached out to bite them in the past – Pommel Horse performances that fell apart. On the international scene the men have been in mix for team medals, only to sink out of the running with botches on the horse.
That’s why the U.S. Olympic Team needs Alex Naddour! He’s a competent and consistent competitor. Watch this video from the 2016 P&G national finals.
He scored 15.750. That is the type of score on pommel horse that the USA needs to put out there in order to keep the team afloat for a medal at the Olympics.
The question is this: Will the Olympic committee that makes the decision on which gymnasts go to the Olympics realize how important Alex would be to the team? We’ll find that answer when they announce their choices on 6/25/16.
