This incredibly beautiful performance with ribbon won YIana Kudryavtseva a gold medal in the event.  It also pushed her over the top for winning gold in the All Around as well.  Yana is from Russia   She is only 16 years old, so she has the opportunity to continue to dominate the sport of rhythmic gymnastics for years to come if she continues performing at this level!

 

Ganna Rizatdinova, the home country favorite, won the silver medal.  The competition was held in the country of Ukraine in the city of Kiev.
